Amazon Prime Membership: If you have taken Amazon’s Prime membership or Prime Video subscription, then there may be bad news for you. Actually, Amazon is going to make a big change in the streaming device terms of its Prime Video. At present, Prime members can log in on a maximum of five devices without any condition on the type of device. But this rule is going to change in the coming few weeks. After this, there will be a limit for the users regarding the type of device.
There will be a limit on device type from January 6, 2025
Actually, information has been given on Amazon’s help page that there will be a limit on device type in Prime Video from January 6, 2025. It has been told that from this date, users will be able to stream on maximum 5 devices, which can have maximum 2 TVs. According to the help page, you can stream to up to 5 devices (including up to 2 TVs). At the same time, you can remove and replace a maximum of 2 existing devices in any 30 day period.
This means that after January 6, 2025, if a user wants to stream Prime Video content on more than 2 TVs simultaneously, he will need another Prime account. The user can stream on a total of 5 devices simultaneously, but there is no restriction on which device it is. These 5 can be mobile, laptop or TV.
Amazon sending email to users
Amazon is gradually informing about these changes being made in the terms through email also. The email sent to people reads, “Thank you for becoming a Prime member and giving us the opportunity to entertain you. As part of your Prime membership, you and your family are entitled to enjoy Prime Video on up to five devices.” “We are updating our terms of use in India to include up to two TVs as part of your five device entitlement from January 2025.”
The email also said that you can manage your devices on your Settings page or purchase another Prime membership to watch Prime Video on more devices.
